Tennis

Coach Braziel's Pack Tennis hosted a 12 team tournament last Friday with heavy hitters like the powerhouse Pampa harvesters, 10-time consecutive district champion Brownfield cubs, defending Tapps state runner up All-Saints patriots, defending district champs Snyder tigers, and the overall tournament champ from last year Borger bulldogs, along with several other teams. The entire team showed some overall success with almost every player making the quarter-finals in 32 individual draws, many would fall to the tournament champion or runner up in those draws. That wasn't the only success that Pack Tennis had though. Dev Bhakta would cruise to the finals in boys singles before falling to Sweetwater. Michael Orsornio and Martin Nieland would fall in the semi-finals to Borger before finishing as the fourth-place boy's doubles team. The Pack tennis team finished 5th overall. Coach Braziel states, "this was a great contest for the program. The players fought through the cold, and some great competition. Several players showed that we will have great success this spring. Several players have the opportunity to play for regional spots at the end of March. As a coach, it doesn't get much better than watching your athletes' hard work pay off, and them having success." You're in the right place!
