UIL Students Moving to Regionals

LHS UIL Director Mr. Scott Lawson is proud to announce that LHS has six students moving on to the UIL Regionals meet next month. UIL Participants competed in the District UIL Meet and we are proud to announce that these students will be moving on to the Regionals meet on April 22nd & 23rd at Texas Tech University.

Austin Ellis received a first-place rating & Crockett Thetford earned a third place rating in Computer Science (taught by Bucky Demel).

Shandon Whitfield received a first place rating in Copy Editing, Galilea Soto received a third place in both Copy Editing & Editorial Writing, and MaciJo Baker earned a second place rating in News Writing (taught by Kelly Buckner).

Xavier Childers earned a second place rating in Literary Criticism (taught by Deb McVay).
