October has been a whirlwind of a ride for Levelland FFA. They attended Greenhand Camp, where our freshmen got to be in their first involvement with the FFA. They learned good leadership skills and had lots of fun in the process. They participated in the Tri-State Livestock judging contest. The team was 8th overall. Trace DeArmond was 5th individual. Our FFA students participated in the South Plains Fair. Cooper Wallace was 3rd in her class. Trace and Ky DeArmond were Grand & Reserve dorper. With many other placing sheep throughout the day. Then FFA students participated in the State Fair where some of our members competed in the show ring. Mark Buxkemper was 3rd in his class making the sale. Brayden Spies was 9th in his class. Lincoln Coats was 10th in his class. Other members that showed at the State Fair were Mattie Buxkemper, Kannan Coats, Charley King, and Bryar Sherrill. Congratulations to all! We are proud of you & the successes of our FFA students! (story & photos courtesy Levelland FFA)
