LHS Librarian Mrs. Tracy Barker held her annual Tree Decorating Contest in the library again this year. Each year Mrs. Barker encourages patrons to visit the library, and this Tree Decorating activity does just that. Prizes were given too! Most Creative Teacher First Place went to Mrs. Merribeth Gregory for her "Chemis-tree," and second place went to Mr. Scott Lawson for his "Farside Christmas Tree by Lawson, not Larson." Most Christmas-y Teacher Tree first place went to Mrs. Isaacks with her Gawdy Tree, and second place went to Counselor Mrs. Stacey Waddill with her Tumbled Weed Tree. In the student division, Samantha Young won first place Most Creative with her "Merry Plushmas Tree," and second place Most Creative went to Brianna Casto for her "Nightmare Before Christmas Tree." Emma Pugh took home the first place Most Christmas-y prize with her "Nutcracker Traffic Cone Tree, and Hayley Paredez won second place Most Christmas-y with her "Bad Bunny Tree." Not pictured are Ms. Gonzales' students that won the classroom divisions of Most Creative and Most Christmas-y. Thank you, Mrs. Barker, for keeping students interested in the library and perhaps a book or two!
