Big Rewards!

LHS Principal Dr. Matthew Birdwell promised LHS student big things as rewards for being at school every day. It is an LHS Goal have good attendance. Last year at this time, LHS had a 93% attendance rate, but this year it has increased to 95.21%. At an LHS assembly today, 429 students that were absent three or fewer times were placed into a drawing for SteelSeries HeadPhones. Sophomore Galilea Hernandez won the headphones. 362 students that were absent two or fewer times were placed into a drawing for a GrooveOnn Speaker. Junior Angelique Ochoa took home the speaker. 275 students that had 1 or fewer absences were placed in the drawing for the XBox 1X. Junior Brayden Moore won that XBox. Finally, 144 students with zero absences were put in the drawing for the PlayStation5, and Junior Jacob Rodriguez won that! Congratulations to all these big winners! It starts again in January and other large prizes will be given away for attendance in the spring! Way to go LHS kids, on helping work toward a strong attendance goal.
