CTE Month -Patient Care Technicians

During CTE Month we must recognize our fabulous LHS Patient Care Technician Course taught by Joan Sanders, RN. This Patient Care Tech course teaches students a skill that can be used during and after high school. Patient Care Techs directly support patients during hospital stays and medical visits and work under the direction of the nursing staff. These students were caught this month working on their clinical skills of Hygiene. They were learning the ins and outs of aiding patients in keeping clean during an extended hospital stay. You can see here how hands-on this class is as they perform oral care, give bed baths, learn to lift and dress patients, and clean glasses and hearing aids. We don't think about many things when caring for patients, and these students are learning the ropes. Thank you, Mrs. Sanders, for your expertise and guidance! What a great class!
