It's CTE Month and LHS Ag Mechanics teachers Christopher Estrada and Cody Spies are proud to share that their Ag Mechanics classes are again thriving. Our Agricultural Mechanics classes encompass the study of mechanical operations, welding, small engine maintenance and repair, planning, management, finance, technical and production skills, and underlying principles of technology. LHS is proud of this awesome opportunity that allows students to work in various mechanic fields, gaining knowledge and experience to aid them in a career after high school. You can see by these projects that our students are busy problem-solving & using math skills while learning their Ag Mechanics Skills and putting together great projects for competition. These three projects were entered into the Hockley County Stock Show, earning two seconds and a third, and will move on to the San Angelo Ag Mechanics competition this month. We wish our students the best of luck! Thank you, Mr. Estrada and Mr. Spies, for offering our LHS students an amazing opportunity!
