CTE Month - Video Game Design

As we close our CTE Month celebration, LHS educator Mrs. April Austin wants to share that her students in her Video Game Design class visited Texas Tech's College of Media & Communications to examine and learn interactive media through Esports-related subjects. Our Levelland Esports students had the opportunity to learn more about the various courses & areas offered by the College of Media & Communications. The MCTV was the first location to explore, featuring the most recent news graphic system and cutting-edge weather reporting equipment. The plan for this space will be used for an Esports competition that will take place in the Esports lab. TTU will broadcast the Esports competitions, featuring our students using the hardware and brief programming providing play-by-plays of the match. This led us to their amazing Esports lab. This was a great experience for the students to see what our new program can lead them to in the future. LISD is so proud that we have Mrs. Austin & this class that offers skills to students not found elsewhere!
