Suicide Prevention

LHS Freshmen started their day learning about Suicide Prevention today. LHS Counselors Stacey Waddill & Susan Smith brought Robby & Sheridan Brooks to visit with LHS Freshmen about suicide & how one final decision should not be the only story you leave behind. Their moving message was that there is always someone who cares and is willing to help you when you are down. They provided a detailed look into the family that is left behind after a suicide and explained that it's OK to not be OK, to stay because your life matters, and choose to keep going. If you need to talk to someone, reach out to a teacher, counselor, friend, or parent.
