Levelland ISD graduate Derek Dunn visited Mr. Hill's LHS Entrepreneur Class yesterday to give students ideas about how they can tackle being a successful entrepreneur. Mr. Dunn told students how he started a roasted corn business in high school before moving on to rental property. Derek has had his hand in several different businesses since his 2011 graduation, from owning a fleet of limousines to owning a golf cart business. Mr. Dunn explained to students that he is ever-evolving and finding new ideas, such as investing in commercial property. He taught them the difference between passive income and earned income and left the kids with many ideas they should pursue in their future. LHS Counselor Stacey Waddill enjoyed seeing her English student again, too! Thank you, Derek, for revisiting LHS!
