Meet the new LHS Assistant Principal....

Meet the new LHS Assistant Principal.................
LISD 1992 graduate Craig Black is the new assistant Principal at LHS. He
says, "I am excited to join the Levelland High School staff as an assistant principal for the 24-25 school year.  I have been in education for 27 total years as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal." He graduated from Levelland High School in 1992 and Angelo State University in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and a minor in kinesiology.  Mr. Black started his career as a teacher and coach in Lampasas.  But he also coached and taught at Kermit, Borger, and Anson. For the last 11 years, he has been with Spearman ISD.  For the first 6 years at Spearman, he taught Algebra I and Calculus and was the head boys' basketball and cross-country coach.  In 2019, Craig obtained his Masters in Educational Leadership from Lamar University and transitioned to administration as the Assistant Principal at Spearman Junior High. That same year Craig was promoted to Principal at Spearman Junior High.  He is so proud that in 2021, Spearman Junior High was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon school, and it was the only public junior high school to receive such an honor.
His wife, Stacie Black (who will be teaching at Levelland ABC this fall) will celebrate their 25th anniversary this summer. They have 2 children. Peyton just graduated from Angelo State University and will remain in San Angelo as an accountant. Landrie just graduated from Spearman High School and will start at Texas Tech University this fall.
Mr. Black says, "I look forward to working with the staff at Levelland High School. Levelland has a great tradition of having great students that carry a great deal of pride. I want to help carry on those traditions while helping students achieve at their absolute best."
Welcome back to Levelland Mr. Black. We are glad you are here!
