Owen Group Visits Classes

LHS students in Mr. Russell Hill's Entrepreneur & Marketing Classes had a special treat last week. Mack and Rebecca Owen taught the classes about branding. Students played an engaging bingo game that made them think about brands they see around them every day. It was a great day to learn new things about branding and we feel lucky to have had him speak to our kids! 

Mack Owen is the founder and president of the Owen Group advertising and marketing firm. Mack earned a degree in advertising from Texas Tech University in 1981. After serving seven years as a copywriter and account manager with an agency in Lubbock, he opened his own agency in 1988. The Owen Group develops and coordinates digital and traditional campaigns in large and small markets across the states of Texas and New Mexico. He has worked with Kansas City Chief quarterback and former Texas Tech quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes currently endorses McGavock Nissan, an Owen Group client. Mr. Owen was inducted into the Texas Tech College of Media and Communication Hall of Fame in April of 2024. He is a frequent instructor in the College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University. Mack is also the founder of Texas Sports Marketing (TSM), which handles sports marketing and sponsorship opportunities for Lubbock ISD and other West Texas school districts.
