Sensory Writing

LHS English II students were found on a sensory walk. Mrs. Spies and Mrs. Wuerflein #expectexcellence and took their students on a walk to help them connect with what was around them. Then, they were challenged to use their five senses to complete a "sensory writing." Sensory writing, or sensory details, is a writing technique that uses the five senses to help readers visualize and experience what's happening in a story, making them feel like they are part of it. It was a beautiful, fresh, bright, hot day that got students buzzing quietly about their colorful, spicy writing!
