CTE Month: Hospitality & Tourism

It's CTE Month so we will be featuring our CTE Educators and Courses all month long. Today we are featuring Hospitality and Tourism at LHS & LMS! LHS is lucky to have Mrs. Oaks and the amazing culinary classes that open doors after high school. Students learn nutrition, sanitation & food safety as well as management of a variety of food service operations, before moving into creating & competing in the culinary world. And Mrs. Young does a fabulous job preparing LMS kids for the real world. LMS students learn the basics of working in the restaurant industry. Students learn sanitation & safety rules as well as recipe reading, preparation, & baking science through preparing meals every day. This course also offers students hands-on experiences in real-world restaurants, enabling them to seek jobs after high school.
