LHS Earns

LHS Principal Dr. Matthew Birdwell shares that after a recently lifted lengthy lawsuit/injunction with TEA, the '22-'23 campus and district accountability results were released to the public. He's excited to announce that Levelland HS received an 'A' rating with a 93 score! The '23-'24 results are still tied up in court so it could be some time before we receive that information. He says, "Because of my coaching background and competitive nature, I researched the ratings of the top performing (4A+) high schools in the region. We are the 2nd highest performing mid-size plus high school in the region, trailing Cooper HS by only one point! As a matter of fact, we rated higher than Frenship HS, all of the Lubbock high schools, all of the Amarillo high schools, all of the Canyon high schools, and all of the 4A+ high schools in regions 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19! In sum, we are one of the highest performing high schools in the state!" He sends out a "huge thank you to his faculty and staff for setting the bar high for our kids and refusing to accept anything less! Myself, campus administration, this district, parents, and our community are blessed to have you! You all are truly amazing and this is a direct reflection of all of you!" Way to go LHS!
