Golf Boys Noticed

Interim LISD Superintendent Mr. Baggett played in the annual Levelland Foundation for Excellence (L.I.F.E.) golf tournament held at the Levelland Country Club on a team with another former LISD Superintendent Mr. Mark Holcomb, and LHS sophomores Gabe Gibbs and Max Vergara. He knew when he met them that these two young men were special, and they were going to have a great time competing in the tournament. Mr. Baggett says, "Gabe and Max are not only amazing golfers; they are amazing young men. The parents of these boys can be very proud of how they conducted themselves. They were polite, courteous, patient, gracious, and extremely humble. To say that they have great futures ahead of them would be an understatement. These two young men are going to accomplish outstanding things at LHS and in their future endeavors." And the LISD team won the morning flight with a score of 57: having made one eagle and twelve birdies. Thank you Max and Gabe for proving what hard work and dedication can do, and thank you both for being Mr. Baggett's new friends. You're in the right place!
