LEAP visits LOBOTech

The Levelland Emerging Active Professionals (LEAP) of the Levelland Chamber of Commerce visited our LHS LoboTech and Computer Maintenance class taught by Mrs. Teresa Carter. Mrs. Carter informed the guests that the LoboTech students are all Dell Certified and have repaired 342 Chromebooks this year. She continued that the Computer Maintenance class is waiting on parts to build 22 new computers. LHS senior Dagon Rangel explained to the LEAP members what goes on behind the scenes of LoboTech by showing them how Chromebooks are repaired. He stated that they use teamwork to evaluate the device. Then it is given to the student that specializes in repairing that problem. Repaired and double-checked by students. Dagon continued to explain the rigor that it takes to pass the necessary tests to earn certifications in the LoboTech and Computer Maintenance classes. The LEAP members are developing the next generation of community and business leaders, and our LHS technology classes are preparing students for a future after high school. You're in the right place!
