Lobos for Luke

Dr. Birdwell arranged for LHS students to hear a moving message from Tim Siegel on inspirations from his late son Luke. Tim, the Executive Director of Team Luke: Hope for Minds, visited with students about making good decisions that could impact the rest of their lives. When his son was injured in a golf cart accident, he had to learn to put one foot in front of the other to face life each day because his son would never be the same. He advised students to find their passion, to not ever quit, to lean on someone you trust, to make good choices, to have faith, to find forgiveness, and to let a loved one's legacy live on through you by making an impact on others. LHS will celebrate Lobos for Luke Day on March 3rd by wearing green or the #3, and all students are encouraged to bring $3 to donate to the non-profit foundation Team Luke: Hope for Minds that can help other children with brain injuries. Thank you Dr. Birdwell for this motivational assembly on making everyone's life better. You're in the right place!
