All-Region Band Concerts

LISD Band Directors John Barry, Matt Tolentino & Gary Owens are so proud to show off their students that earned chairs in the All-Region Band and All-Region Honor Band. These auditions were last fall, but students from this part of Texas all came together and practiced and gave concerts at the Lubbock Civic Center. Mr. Owens is proud to brag that LMS had more students earn chairs than any other middle school in Region 16. Auditions started last November with approximately 1500 students. Altogether with the high school All-Region Bands, there were 800 students who earned chairs and performed on Saturday. Levelland ISD brought 73 of those students, which is over 9% of the total students in Region 16 Bands this year. Aren't we lucky to have such fantastic band directors and a great band program?
