Choir Heading to State!

LHS students in Choir Director Amy Bayer's LHS Choir competed in the Solo and Ensemble competition at Talkington School for Young Women Leaders in Lubbock. Twelve soloists and four ensembles performed. Students are given a rating based on their performance. The possible ratings are 1 (superior), 2 (excellent), 3 (good), 4 (below average), and 5 (poor). Our kids did a fantastic job and all received superior and excellent ratings! To qualify for Texas State Solo & Ensemble, the students must sing a class 1 solo or ensemble by memory and receive a rating of 1. Several of our kids are headed to State in May! Thank you to ABC music teacher Joanna Forbes for accompanying all of these students on the piano. Congratulations to all these students on your success with singing! You're in the right place!
