Entreprenuers Create Businesses

LHS students in Mr. Hill’s Entrepreneurship classes have been exploring the world of visual merchandising. Students have learned the art and science of attracting customers through creative product displays. His students were caught up in this hands-on project after being challenged to select a company to research in depth and examine its brand identity, target market, and marketing strategies. They studied product lines, company logos, branding colors and their meanings, new releases, and sales channels to better understand how their companies use design to influence consumer behavior. Armed with this knowledge, students applied their research to create a shoebox-sized retail window display representing their chosen company. Many incorporated a holiday theme, showcasing seasonal creativity while maintaining brand consistency. Each student began by sketching a design concept, then transformed a simple shoebox into a miniature storefront display using materials, color, and composition to appeal to their brand’s target market. Mr. Hill's Shoebox Window Display Project provided students with valuable experiential learning in business and marketing, while fostering 21st-century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Students enjoyed the opportunity to merge business knowledge with artistic design, and the results were as innovative as they were impressive! Great job kids! Video
