LHS eSports Sponsor April Austin is glad to tell that our LHS eSports Team competed in an in-person tournament over the weekend. This was a LAN event in Lubbock hosted by Lubbock ISD: the annual Hub City Showdown Esports Tournament. Our students represented Levelland with determination, teamwork, and great sportsmanship. We are especially proud to celebrate one of our players earning 3rd place in the competition! Mrs. Austin states, "Every team that competed did an amazing job, especially considering this was their first tournament playing the game they entered to compete in. Most of our players are in their first year learning and competing in these games, and experiences like this are a huge part of our growth as a program. We’re excited to keep building skills, confidence, and expertise as LHS eSports continues to grow. Way to go, Lobos! We’re proud of you!" LISD is so proud to offer this eSports program that continues to grow and give students more than “just gaming" skills! We love that Mrs. Austin is preparing LHS students for their future by opening doors to jobs beyond high school!
