The Rain We Keep
LHS students in Coach Jacob Bell’s Geography class partnered with Keep Levelland Beautiful to raise awareness about local water resources and the importance of being good stewards of the land. As part of the project, students watched four educational videos on the big screen and on their Chromebooks titled The Rain We Keep, which highlighted the area’s landscape, underlying aquifer, and water sources. Students learned about the Ogallala Aquifer, the vast region it covers, and the importance of protecting and advocating for responsible water use. We extend our sincere thanks to Coach Bell for being willing to teach the lesson on water and water resources.
