Culinary Goes Under The Sea

It's always a"sweet" for our LHS Culinary students to visit Texas Tech University in the Chocolate Fantasia Competition. LHS Culinary Arts teacher Khris Oaks took her students to compete in the unique culinary experience "Under The Sea." This Parkinson's Disease fundraiser allows our LHS students to learn more than just how to bake a cake, they also learned to speak to adults and sell their product. Our culinary students came home with lots of treasure! These kids did an amazing job on their "Under the Sea" creations! Congratulations to Mrs. Oaks and these awesome kids! LISD Superintendent Dr. Donald Heseman states, "I was literally shocked at how good our LHS culinary kids did with their designs and speaking abilities!" Congratulations kids! We love seeing these amazing cakes!
