Job Olympics

Mrs. Kristy VanZandt-Scoggins has every reason to brag on her LHS LOC students! Her students competed at the Region 17 Job Olympics alongside 18 other schools and earned the title of champions!
The Job Olympics is a hands-on, school-based event designed to help life skills students build the vocational and functional skills needed for a successful transition into adulthood. From folding towels to completing job applications, these students have been hard at work practicing real-world skills in the classroom and putting them to the test in competition. The goal of the Job Olympics is simple but powerful: prepare students for the workforce in a fun, engaging way, while building confidence and independence that will carry over into real-life jobs. We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, determination, and outstanding accomplishments. They represented LHS with excellence and proved they are ready for bright futures ahead!
