Entrepreneurs @ Work

Our LHS Entrepreneurship students have been hard at work, and their creativity, innovation, and hustle are on full display in Mr. Hill’s class as they bring their own food truck businesses to life. This hands-on project challenged students to think like real entrepreneurs from the start. Each student began by creating a unique food truck concept—from gourmet grilled cheese to bold international street food. They then moved into branding, designing eye-catching logos that reflect their truck’s identity and target audience. But it didn’t stop with a great idea. Students developed full menus, carefully considering pricing, food costs, and customer appeal. They also sketched detailed floor plans, thinking through efficiency just like real food truck owners. Marketing played a key role as students created strategies to attract customers, build excitement, and stand out in a competitive market. To bring everything together, each student completed a full business plan outlining their vision, goals, and financial strategy. And the best part? They built physical models of their food trucks using shoeboxes and brought their ideas to life in a fun, creative, and visual way! The project culminates in a final presentation where students pitched their food truck businesses to the class. With enthusiasm and professionalism, they shared their concepts, designs, and plans, just like entrepreneurs seeking investors. To celebrate their hard work, awards are given for Best Design and Best Business Plan, recognizing students who truly go above and beyond. This project is more than just an assignment. It’s an experience that builds real-world skills in creativity, problem-solving, communication, and business thinking. Mr. Hill’s classroom is buzzing with energy, ideas, and the entrepreneurial spirit, proving that the next generation of business leaders is already hard at work! Great job kids!
